2015 YOUNG MUSICIAN OF WILTSHIRE COMPETITION WINNER IS VIOLINIST KATHERINE STONHAM – CONGRATULATIONS!

ABD Family Law Solicitor Cindy Ervine, who is based at the firms Devizes office was delighted to present first prize and trophy to 16 year old violinist Katherine Stonham who came first in the 2015 Young Musician of Wiltshire Competition.

This exciting event which is in its 2nd year of running and  took place in the Devizes Town Hall on Saturday 16 May 2015 where 7 of the most talented young performers in the region under the age of 19 performed a 12 minute classical music recital in front of a jury.

Katherine played Violin sonata in D major (Adagio-Allegro) by Handel and Violin Concerto in G minor Op.26 (Finale) by Max Bruch.  David Price accompanied her on the piano.

Second prize went to pianist Vincent Ling and third prize went to Bassoonist Emma Williams.

This is without doubt an event ABD was proud to be the Lead Sponsor of that provides talented children with a passion for music the opportunity to excel.
