So we're only 6 months away from what is supposed to be the day that Brexit finally happens and still no-one seems to know what it will look like!
One of my areas of specialty is Commercial Property. I spend a lot of time acting for owners of property looking to sell or rent it out and also for people looking to buy property or take leases. People ask me on a regular basis how Brexit is affecting my clients and it's actually quite a difficult question to answer as the people and businesses I act for are so varied.
Take the high street for example. Most people will agree that this has been in decline for many years anyway. People's lives are getting busier and busier and online shopping is taking over. Who doesn't use the likes of Amazon? However there are still many people keen to open their own small business, people who have a new idea and want to offer something different on the high street. Surely that's what it's all about, the high street needs to adapt. Some of my clients take the view that if they don't trade with countries in the EU it won't affect them on a day to day basis whilst others disagree.
Whilst I cannot predict what the future will hold post Brexit it does appear that there could be uncertain times ahead. Here at ABD we can help to guide you through all types of commercial property transactions whether you are buying, selling leasing or developing. We have an experienced and dedicated team ready to assist.
